SERVICES Recycling CMA has the reputation of adding value to metals. Two of the ways we do that is through Baling and Briquetting. A dense compacted product provides for better melt rates, is easier to handle, takes up less room, and increases the markets to sell into. The space savings also reduce the carbon footprint from transportation of processed metals. Baling CMA has a range of quality balers that allow us to produce high density bales for the specialised local industry with the looser, lower density bales more suitable for the export market. There are various sized bales that service specialised markets and we also perform tolling work for the larger corporate industry. Having specialised high density baling units allows us to process material that would normally have little or no value into a product that becomes of interest to a range of markets around the world. We also have a range of mobile compactors that we employ around Australia and New Zealand to bale up cars, light gauge steel, and white goods from various land fill and recycling centres in the more remote areas. Briquetting Our group has set up an automated briquetting plant that processes cast iron and steel turnings and other blended products into dense hockey type puck briquettes for the steel mills. These two large units will produce around 7 tonne per hour each and are the largest of their kind in the market today. We also process aluminium turnings into puck briquettes for use in the local foundries and for specialised export markets. CMA has much experience in the briquetting of fines, scale, filter cakes, etc into pillow briquettes for local and export markets. This specialised mixing and blending process results in a tight, solid briquette that allows us to promote our product into a greater range of markets which delivers good added value for our clients and the group. |
