SERVICES Recycling Foundry Supply CMA has long being recognised for its support to the Australian foundry industry and continues to work closely with our valued clients within this industry to deliver to their requirements and expectations. We supply the quality “Meretec Meltstock” to the grey and ductile foundries along with cover scrap, coolant and punch fill material for ballast and counterweights. In 2006 we imported Pig Iron for the Australian and New Zealand foundry market and continue to have this product available in small 1-2 tons parcels, container loads or full truck loads. We also supply pure copper and aluminium type products to the foundry industry and are looking at other areas where we can support the industry. Our “Meretec Meltstock” is a product that is supplied to the foundry guaranteed, free of any coatings, dirt, oil, and is sprayed with a rust inhibitor to come to you rust free as clean black scrap. This material delivers considerable savings per tonne with less dross, less waste, extended furnace and bag house life, reduced melt times, higher recoveries, better castings and a better work place environment. We are very proud of our ingot manufacturing business and promote our “Australian Made” products to industry. A large range of red metals and aluminium alloys are held in stock and we have full representation in all states of Australia and in New Zealand. We are currently investing in superior processing and handling methods which will see us continue to improve the quality of our products. This strong pursuit of product quality, innovation and presentation will see a renewed focus for our foundry business. We will continue to look for new ways to reinvent ourselves. CMA works hard with our clients to provide solutions for those more difficult alloys and see this area of expertise as a opening for the group. Our delivery times are an area of continuous improvement and we are sure our clients will see a willingness to work with them on supply, quality and delivery times. CMA keeps its eye on future market trends that affect the foundry industry and have been proactive in developing solutions for foundries before problems occur. One example of this is the increase of UHSS and HSS steels in the Australian market. CMA acted and imported a significant quantity of pig iron, so that the Australian Foundry Industry had a high quality, low cost alternative to existing pig iron suppliers. Another example is the increase in galvanised steels and the reduction in uncoated steels in Australia for Foundries to melt. The introduction of the Meretec plant has allowed low strength uncoated steels to re-enter the Australian scrap market and deliver real cost savings to Australian and American foundries CMA offers an array of high-quality ferrous and non ferrous metal for ferrous and non ferrous melting applications. We have developed niche markets with a focus on processed melt feed for the industry. Supplies include high purity ductile grade pig iron, Meretec Meltstock, dri-melt steel, baled steel, sheared metals and briquettes. CMA operates a state of the art laboratory and is equipped with the latest analytical instrumentations including spectrophotometers by spark optical emission (ARL 3460 OES), Thermo iCAP 6300 ICP-AES, Thermo Niton X-ray Fluorescence, Radiometer Analytic Autotritrator, metallography and various other methods for metal identification. These laboratory services are used within our manufacturing process and are also made available to our customers to assist in the improvement and development of their products. Our metallurgists and chemists are also available to assist our client base. |
