ABOUT US OHS&E (Occupational Health, Safety & Environment) CMA is committed to a safe working environment. Our people are constantly trained to achieve a high standard of safety and our safety systems are continuously updated as new and improved equipment and products come to market. This extensive preparation provides the foundation to complete our projects safely, responsibly and on time. At CMA, we are proud of our OHS&E culture. Our group has developed and implemented an integrated Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management system meeting and in some instances exceeding the requirements of AS/NZ 4801, ISO 9001 and ISO14001. This Project Management System, which is second to none in the industry, has been audited by clients and communicates our core values throughout our company structure and to our clients. Environmental matters are of critical concern of every industry. At CMA, we acknowledge this, and we are proactive in providing solutions for potential risks. We provide environmental controls and safeguards to provide assurance that our operations are run in an environmentally sound manner. Some of our sites operate with an EPA (DECC) licence and have interceptors and stormceptors to stop silt and hydrocarbons from entering waterways along with online waste tracking facilities. We are environmentally responsible with the collection of rain water from our buildings into underground storage tanks for use throughout our facilities and encourage conservation of our natural resources through responsible recycling. CMA operates an integrated metal recycling business across three continents. A network of 31 recycling facilities and a workforce of more than 600 staff enable CMA to recycle almost any kind of scrap metal arisings to serve the burgeoning global metal recycling market. |
